The well-known American news network Newsmax, which for some time was available in unencrypted form (FTA) via the Astra 3B satellite (23.5°E), has started broadcasting a local version in the Balkans. On October 14, Newsmax Balkans was launched as a venture of Newsmax Media, Inc. and Telekom Serbia.

The introduction of such a renowned media brand as Newsmax to the market is another important partnership that confirms the validity of our development and expansion strategy of Telekom Serbia in the global market,” said the CEO of Telekom Serbia, Vladimir Lučić.

Newsmax Balkans will offer viewers a different narrative of national, regional and international events. It will be a television network that will be based on facts and at the same time bring different perspectives, opening a window to the world of current events. The main news service "Presek" will have 3 refreshed editions per day - at 12.00, 15.00 and 18.00. After the evening news, the program "Stav dana" will analyze the most important topics and events. In addition to information, the station will offer a rich documentary program of its own and external production, especially the American television Newsmax.

Newsmax Balkans is the first news channel in the Balkans, created in ultra-high 4K resolution to provide the highest quality image, following the example of global media concerns. The 4K version is offered in the IPTV services of the operator Telekom Serbia.

The channel on the satellite platform m:SAT TV is distributed in the MPEG-4 codec and in SD. The channel is available at position No. 19. With the introduction of the Balkan version of Newsmax, Prva Kick (position no. 105) was removed from the offer.
