Madd Entertainment announces fresh series deals
Leading Turkish distributor Madd Entertainment announced new deals across Western Europe, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America for the series The Good & The Bad, Leyla, Far Away and Portrait of a Scandalous Family.
The Good & The Bad from Ay Yapim’s , which airs Sunday nights on Show TV under the title Deha, features Aras Bulut İynemli (The Pit) as a genius mathematician who escapes the ghetto only to be drawn back by his estranged father, a notorious con artist who is played by Family Secrets’ beloved actor Uğur Polat. All-star cast also includes international superstar Taner Ölmez (A Miracle), Melis Sezen (A Woman Scorned), Ahsen Eroğlu (The Agency), Onur Saylak (Crash) and Seda Akman (My Wonderful Life). It has been sold to countries in the so-called CIS region. Leyla, produced by Ay Yapim, is one of the most hotly anticipated new series in the global marketplace, being an adaptation of Globo’s international hit series Avenida Brasil. MADD has already secured a dozen commitments for this rags-to-riches tale of revenge, including Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, MENA, Mexico, Montenegro, Panama, Romania, CIS, and Spain. Far Away (alka Far City) is one of the top-rated series on Kanal D Tin Turkey. This story about a woman coming from Canada being trapped in an Eastern town of Türkiye has kept fans on the edge of their seat and helped earn commitments from multiple territories around the world, including Israel, MENA, Romania, CIS, and Spain. Portrait of a Scandalous Family (NOW TV) from Medyapim’s is a brand-new historical true story set in the last days of the Ottoman Empire, featuring an illustrious family who helped define Turkey in the twentieth century.
