In Lithuania, the collection of funds for the purchase of drones as part of the solidarity campaign “Radarom!” organized by the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) concluded successfully.
In total, more than 5.6 million euros were raised, according to the broadcaster’s website. LRT clarifies that this is not the final amount raised: it will be adjusted when all orders from companies are received. Two-thirds of the funds raised will be directed to Lithuanian-made drones, and the rest to the purchase of Ukrainian UAVs. The selection of equipment will be carried out by the Blue/Yellow organization. The Director General of the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT, Monika Garbacauskaitė-Budrenė, thanked everyone who joined the initiative. “Together, we have proven once again that we will not give up until the war is over,” she said. The solidarity campaign “Radarom!” started on February 3. In the first week, it managed to collect almost 900.000 euros. The campaign is organized by the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) together with the organizations Blue/Yellow, Laisvės TV and Stiprūs kartu. This is the third “Radarom!” campaign. The first campaign in 2023 raised over 14 million euros, which was used to purchase 17 radars, four high-speed cars for mobile radars, training for radar users in Ukraine, 69 anti-drone complexes and accessories for defenders using radars in Ukraine. In January 2024, the Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT launched the “Radarom!” campaign in support of Ukraine for the second time. 8.563.316 euros were raised, which were used to purchase 1,141 sets of protective equipment for the military, including individual anti-drones, night vision monoculars and laser sights from Lithuanian companies Brolis Semiconductors and NT Service.
