The TRT International Documentary Awards are back for a 17th year, bringing powerful stories about people, nature, life, and history to audiences around the world.

Supporting its commitment to documentary storytelling, the competition welcomes both finished films that meet entry criteria and projects still in the early idea or story stage before production begins.

This year’s awards span four categories: International Category, National Professional Category, National Student Films Category, and Project Development Category. A total of 12 awards will awards will be granted to outstanding works.

The deadline for submissions is April 3, with preliminary selection results shared on April 10.

Jury evaluations will take place between June 4-7, and the winners will be honored at the official award ceremony on June 7.
