CEEBBC First and BBC Earth launch on Vivacom’s EON platform
Vivacom has expanded its premium content offering on its EON TV platform with the launch of BBC First and BBC Earth, strengthening its lineup with two of the most recognizable brands from BBC Studios.
BBC First, making its debut in Bulgaria, is available to subscribers of the EON Premium package, while BBC Earth is included in both EON Full and EON Premium tiers. The move reflects Vivacom’s ongoing strategy to enhance its platform with high-quality international content spanning drama, science, and natural history. According to Lyubomir Maloselski, Director of Products and Services at Vivacom, the addition of the two channels is part of a broader effort to offer not just more content, but a richer and more diverse viewing experience tailored to different audience interests. BBC First strengthens the platform’s drama portfolio with premium British series created by award-winning writers and producers. Its lineup includes titles such as Death in Paradise, Beyond Paradise, Sister Boniface Mysteries, and The Tourist, spanning crime, thriller, historical, and contemporary storytelling through a distinctly British lens. Meanwhile, BBC Earth brings some of the world’s most acclaimed factual programming to Bulgarian viewers. The channel features landmark series such as Planet Earth and Blue Planet, known for their cinematic quality and scientific depth, alongside a wide range of documentaries exploring nature, science, and the universe. The launches follow a period of accelerated expansion for Vivacom’s TV offering. In recent months, the operator has added more than 10 new channels across its platforms, including SkyShowtime and its linear channels SkyShowtime 1 and SkyShowtime 2, as well as Arena-branded channels and the documentary network Love Nature. With the addition of BBC First and BBC Earth, Vivacom continues to position EON as a leading destination for premium international content in Bulgaria, combining strong global brands with a diverse mix of genres aimed at broad audiences.
