CEEBBC Studios and CosmoBlue Media expand strategic collaboration across Turkey
BBC Studios and CosmoBlue Media have unveiled the next phase of their strategic collaboration with the first launch in Turkey.
Cosmo EN and BBC Player are now officially launched in Turkey, with COSMO EN now live on D-Smart, Tivibu, BeIN and Kablo TV, and BBC Player now live on the COSMO GO app. The channel will also be launching on additional platforms soon, as the services continue to roll out with a broad range of operators. The companies also announced an expanded phase of their strategic collaboration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), confirming plans to launch all services across the region. The new channel COSMO EN will offer a curated mix of BBC Studios’ acclaimed programming, spanning powerful series, engaging factual entertainment, breathtaking nature documentaries, and trusted kids & family titles. Early morning and preschool audiences will enjoy globally loved kids’ titles such as Go Jetters, while school-age audiences and family co-viewing slots will feature educational and curiosity-driven programming including Grace’s Amazing Machines. Prime daytime and lifestyle blocks will showcase iconic factual series such as Planet Earth, alongside world-renowned lifestyle and automotive programming including Top Gear. Evening and late-night schedules will be anchored by premium British drama, featuring critically acclaimed crime and period series such as Luther and Ripper Street, delivering compelling storytelling for mature audiences. “The launches of COSMO EN and BBC Player are incredibly exciting for the region. BBC Player offering will include more than 1.000 hours of series, factual, nature, kids and family content, all curated for diverse audiences seeking meaningful, visually engaging storytelling. This is a starting point, and later the BBC Player’s offer will continue to grow in the next phases of the roll-out, bringing even more variety and depth to the service In addition to COSMO EN and BBC Player launches, CosmoBlue Media will partner with BBC Studios in supporting the regional distribution of key BBC Studios channels, including BBC First, BBC Earth, and CBeebies, ensuring expanded reach across Türkiye and MENA.
