Megogo secures multi-market rights for Usyk vs Verhoeven fight
 22 May 2026
Megogo has secured rights from DAZN to distribute the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Rico Verhoeven fight in Poland and the Czech Republic on a pay-per-view basis. The event, scheduled for May 23 in Giza, Egypt, is considered one of the most high-profile combat sports events of the year and will include the full undercard alongside the main bout.

As part of the agreement, Megogo will provide the event across both markets. In Poland, the fight will be available with Ukrainian-language commentary, while viewers in the Czech Republic will have access to Czech and Ukrainian commentary options.

“Expanding premium live sports offerings across international markets remains an important part of Megogo's ecosystem development strategy. We are pleased to bring one of the year’s biggest combat sports events to viewers in Poland and the Czech Republic in high quality, particularly at a time when large Ukrainian communities are living across both countries. We are also grateful for our long-term partnership with DAZN, which continues to create new opportunities for cooperation and content distribution across Central and Eastern Europe,” commented Volodymyr Borovyk, Co-Founder of Megogo.

The event will be distributed via PPV through the Megogo app on Smart TVs, mobile devices and web platforms.

Pricing for the event will vary by market: Poland — 79.99 PLN and Czech Republic — 461 CZK.

Pricing may vary by market and is subject to change.

The broadcast in both Poland and the Czech Republic will begin at 18.00 local time and will include the full undercard and the main event. Ukrainian commentary across both markets will be provided by Serhii Lukianenko and Dmytro Avetisyan.

Oleksandr Usyk enters the fight undefeated with a professional record of 24 wins, including 15 knockouts. The Ukrainian boxer last fought in July 2025, defeating Daniel Dubois and becoming the undisputed world heavyweight champion for the third time in his career.

Rico Verhoeven, widely recognized as one of the world’s leading kickboxers, will compete in his second professional boxing match. The bout has been officially sanctioned by the WBC as a heavyweight title fight.
