ZDF Studios is returning to NEM Dubrovnik with a strong lineup of premium drama series aimed at broadcasters, streamers and FAST platforms across Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.

The company said this year’s market will serve as an opportunity to reconnect with regional partners, discuss the trends shaping the future of television and showcase a curated slate of scripted titles designed to resonate with audiences in the CEE region.

Leading the company’s meetings in Dubrovnik will be Mirela Nastase, Drama Director at ZDF Studios, who will present the latest acquisitions and discuss rights availability with buyers attending the market.

Among the key titles in the lineup is Agnes, a two-part premium drama available as a 2x60 minutes or a single 120-minute feature. The company is also bringing the Estonian crime drama Detective von Fock, an 8x45-minute mystery series, alongside the Czech crime production The Markovič Method (6x55 minutes).

Historical and political dramas also feature prominently in the slate. King of Šumava, the Czech period drama inspired by real events, will be presented as a 9x45-minute series, while We’re on it, Comrades! expands the offering with an 8x60-minute drama production.

Crime and suspense continue to dominate the package with titles such as Hide and Seek (8x50 minutes), the long-running procedural SOKO Wismar (499x45 minutes), and Freud (8x45 minutes), the internationally recognized psychological crime thriller.

The lineup additionally includes The Specialists, the Czech adaptation of SOKO Leipzig, which currently totals 208 episodes, underlining the continuing demand in the region for localized procedural formats.

One of the newer additions to the slate is Take the Money and Run, a 6x45-minute crime suspense drama that will be introduced to buyers in Dubrovnik as part of the company’s latest scripted offering.

With the growing importance of premium European scripted content for both linear and digital platforms, ZDF Studios is positioning its NEM showcase around high-end dramas with broad international appeal while continuing to strengthen its footprint in the CEE market.
