CEESerial Killer founder Kamila Zlatušková hands over leadership of festival
Serial Killer founder Kamila Zlatušková has stepped down from the leadership of the festival, transferring management of the event and ownership of organizer Telepunk to her long-time collaborators ahead of this year's municipal elections. She will remain involved as honorary president.
The ninth edition of the festival will take place in Brno from September 23-28, showcasing international television and web series alongside premieres of new Czech productions from the country's leading broadcasters. This year's edition will feature a dual focus on Icelandic and Dutch drama, highlighting the contrast between Nordic storytelling and contemporary Dutch productions. The lineup includes series such as My Funeral, Reykjavik Fusion and Messed Up. The festival will also host the TV Days industry conference from September 24-26, exploring ethical issues surrounding audiovisual productions inspired by real events. International guests include Charles McDougall, known for directing episodes of House of Cards, Sex and the City, The Office and The Tudors, as well as producer Mark B. Lorber, whose credits include Motherland, Devils and the Czech adaptation of In Treatment. A new feature for 2026 will see six prominent personalities serve as symbolic one-day festival directors, with the organizers set to reveal their identities at the end of August. Festival screenings and events will once again be centered around Husa na provázku Theatre, with additional venues across Brno. RELATED
