Volodymyr Tyrtychnyi, UAF servicemember and media worker with Starlight Media who had been considered missing since November 14, 2024, was killed in action. The company received confirmation that he had died that day, and reported this in a Facebook post.

Tyrtychnyi had worked at Starlight Media since 2016. He started out as an assistant director on the Surprise project, later becoming an editing director, and had been a production specialist in recent years.

The Starlight Media team remembers him as a kind, open, and sincere person. He often spoke about his family and his childhood in Luhansk, dreamed of building his own home, and had plans for the future.

yrtychnyi was drafted into the army in July 2024. He had been considered missing in action since 14 November of that year. It has now been confirmed that the serviceman had died on that very day.

The company said that details of his funeral would be announced later.

According to the Institute of Mass Information, Volodymyr Tyrtychnyi is the 136th media professional to die in the course of Russia’s aggressive war in Ukraine.
