Warner Bros. International Television Distribution (WBITD) has signed a new, multi-year television distribution agreement with Saran Media in Turkey, it was announced by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution, and Alan K. Saran, CEO, SARAN Media.
The new output deal expands upon WBITD's current distribution pact with SARAN and marks the continuation of the 15-year relationship between the two companies. Under the terms of the new deal, SARAN has acquired the premium, basic, free and subscription video-on-demand rights to a wide range of programming distributed by WBITD, including current and library feature films, television series and animation titles from Warner Bros. "We are pleased to announce this latest deal with SARAN, which has been our licensor in the market for many, many years," said Schlesinger. "This is another step in our successful relationship and we look forward to working with them in this latest deal." "SARAN has strong faith in the Turkish TV market, and we are committed to investing in the best entertainment premium content," said Saran. "We have great synergy with Warner Bros., and we are excited to continue and expand our relationship." The agreement covers current and library features "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Suicide Squad," and "Sully" to name a few; current TV series "Lethal Weapon," "Training Day," "Frequency," and "Supergirl," among others, as well as a slate of animated series.
