Global content leader Lionsgate kicked off NATPE Budapest with a major licensing agreement with HBO Europe for a number of premium Lionsgate and Starz titles to air across the Central and Eastern European Region, the Nordics and Spain, it was announced today by Lionsgate President of International Television and Digital Distribution, Peter Iacono.

The package includes leading Starz original dramas The White Princess, which debuted in the U.S. to stellar ratings in April, The White Queen as well as the hit Lionsgate series Graves. This complements an earlier deal with HBO Europe for the series Casual, American Lion and Dimension 404.

Lionsgate's extensive slate of new programming includes LA Screenings hit drama 10 Days in the Valley (10 x 1 hour), starring Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer). The global pop cultural phenomenon, Dirty Dancing, a reimagining of the iconic and beloved film, comes to television as a three hour musical event starring Abigail Breslin as Baby, Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, and introducing Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle.

Candy Crush™ (10 x 1 hour and a format) is the newest primetime physical competition show that brings one of the most popular gaming apps in the world to life! In this highly visual and interactive game show, four teams of two competitors each are tasked with conquering the unique challenges in our larger than life Candy Crush arena. Drawn from the novel of the same name by Philippa Gregory, and part of The Cousins’ War book series, The White Princess (8 x 1 hour) is a tale of power, political divides, family, love and betrayal. On the all-new comedic competition series Kicking & Screaming, 10 pampered prima donnas pack their bags for the jungles of Fiji, to face the wild with 10 survivalists and compete for a grand prize, from executive producer Matt Kunitz (Wipeout), and hosted by Hannah Simone (New Girl).
