Eccho Rights and Star Media, one of Russia’s leading television producers, have concluded an agreement under which the Swedish company will distribute the drama series Life after Life, the two companies announced today. Eccho Rights will sell the 16-episode series worldwide as well as the scripts for the show. The distributor is presenting it as part of their line up of international series for MIPCOM 2017.

Life after Life is a 16-episode series about two businessmen, lifelong childhood friends, one of which fails to pass the test of greed: he kills the other to take over his share of the business. However, his partner does not wish to simply die and is offered the opportunity to return to Earth in the body of another person, a tragic suicide victim.

Meanwhile, Banijay Rights has picked exclusive distribution rights to NTV Russia’s original talkshow format Secret for a Million. The show has been among the big hits of the channel for the past year and scored up to 8 million linear TV viewers and has so far reached over 40 million views online.
