Fremantle announces Balkan deals for non-scripted content
 12 Jun 2019
Fremantle has struck two major new deals across The Balkans for some of its most successful non-scripted titles across lifestyle and entertainment. The global producer and distributor has teamed up with Fox Networks Group Bulgaria and United Media to bring multiple series from the culinary genius Jamie Oliver to the region, as well as the hugely popular entertainment shows Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and The X Factor.

Fox Networks Group Bulgaria (FNG) has signed a multi-year deal with Fremantle to air a range of Jamie Oliver content on their 24 Kitchen channel. The broadcaster will premiere the highly-anticipated eighth season of Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club later this year, and all new Jamie Oliver programming produced during their term. The partnership is a renewal of a previous three-year deal with FNG, which includes Fremantle’s cooking shows Nigel Slater’s Middle East and hit show Hairy Bikers Mediterranean Adventure.

United Media will launch both the British and American versions of the globally successful Syco Entertainment and Fremantle format, Got Talent, as well as the British version of music mogul Simon Cowell’s other acclaimed talent format, The X Factor UK. Whilst Got Talent continues its reign as the world’s most successful reality format, The X Factor UK remains the nation’s number one singing show, with acts from the show having sold 250 million records globally to date.

Nick Pawsey, VP Sales and Distribution, CEE & Russia at Fremantle said: “We are thrilled to be working with Fox and United Media to showcase a wide range of Fremantle’s most loved and talked about non-scripted series throughout the region. Our partnership with United Media marks the first time an international version of these formats has been sold in The Balkans, meanwhile our renewal with Fox is testament to the success of these brands in the region.”
