All3Media International signs first deal with Russia’s ivi
Leading independent distributor All3Media International has signed its first deal with one of the leading OTT VOD platformsin Russia, CIS and the Baltics, it announced today, as ivi picks up rights to 50 hours of premium content.
The multi-territory acquisition features a host of primetime dramas and includes exclusive rights in the region to upcoming future-set psychological thriller The Feed alongside powerful original drama Dark Money, from the creators of National Treasure. The Feed (10 x 1-hour), from The Walking Dead writer Channing Powell and all3media’s Studio Lambert it’s co-produced by Amazon and Liberty Global and will play across their platforms later this year in the UK, Europe and USA. STARZPLAY has acquired the series for their European SVOD, while TVNZ have picked it up in New Zealand. Dark Money (4 x 1-hour), penned by the award-winning Levi David Addai and produced by The Forge, premiered on BBC One in July. The series has gone on to be sold in Australia to ABC and Sky in New Zealand, along with Brazilian streaming service Globo TV and Japanese VoD platform U-Next. The deal includes non-exclusive rights to four more highly acclaimed dramas – namely RTS winner and BAFTA nominee Informer (6 x 1-hour), from Neal Street Productions for BBC One, and six-part thriller Liar, from Two Brothers Pictures for ITV and AMC. Severn Screen’s gripping eight-part crime drama Hidden (Craith), produced in association with S4C, BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Four, also features, alongside Mystery Road (6 x 1-hour) from Bunya Productions for ABC Australia. All dramas acquired were produced in association with all3media international. ivi has selected ten hours of factual series and specials from all3media international’s extensive catalogue, signing non-exclusive rights. This includes a package of health and lifestyle themed programming comprising Diet Secrets and How To Lose Weight (4 x 1-hour, North One Television for Channel 5) and three one-hour specials produced for BBC One: The Sticky Truth About Sugar (Maverick Television), The Truth About Sleep (Lion Television) and The Truth About Stress (Blink Films). Rounding out the deal are two North One Television specials for Channel 4 led by star engineer and racing driver Guy Martin – Guy Martin vs the Robot Car and Guy Martin’s WW1 Tank – and one-hour special Rise of the Superstar Vloggers, from Little Dot Studios for BBC Three.
