Today, we invite you to screen the Slovenian drama series Bridges of Us. In March, during the coronavirus lockdown, the POP TV show posted the highest ratings for a Slovenian original series in 10 years.

An enchanting love story takes us into the heart of the picturesque Vipava valley. Bridges between the characters represent the symbol of intertwinement between the past and the future, aggravated family ties, friendship grudges and an almost forgotten memory of a true love between main characters. A family’s tragedy and a mother’s death emotionally affect the main character Kristijan for life. The eventful happenings evoke in Kristjan hatred towards his elderly brother Robert Furlan and Kristjan breaks off all the connections with his family, takes over his mother’s last name and leaves Vipava, his birth town and the love of his life in order to join the organization Doctors without Borders. Thanks to the initiative of a local general practitioner Dr. Franja Premrl, the main character at the beginning of the story returns to the crime scene. Alongside the intrigues and crooked business of a prominent project so called the Second Track, led in a far more corruptive manner by his father Ivan Furlan and his older brother Robert Furlan, Kristjan is faced with old grudges and a forgotten love affair with Monika.
